Position Summary

The Human Resources Administrator is responsible for assisting in all aspects of human capital management for all associates working within their assigned region to include selection, work culture, employee benefits/recognition, performance management, policy implementation and enforcement and compliance.

Duties/Responsibilities

Recruit, screen and select SecurAmerica candidates for employment who possess SecurAmericas values, demonstrate the capability to deliver legendary service and who meet client/post requirements and needed skills/traits.
Facilitate the orientation and on-boarding process for new associates.
Conduct SecurAmericas basic 8 hour Security Officer Training Program, if required to do so.
Oversee local compliance with all federal, state, and local legislation pertaining to employment practices, including all equal employment opportunity (EEO) laws, all workers compensation laws, the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and equivalent state laws, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and equivalent state laws and the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA).
Ensure 100% compliance to all union collective bargaining agreements in the area of benefits and discipline.
Investigate and manage all Workers Compensation claims and interface with employee, carrier and corporate human resources/risk management.
Administer all corporate and regional Human Resources policies, procedures and programs per company standards as outlined in the Human Resources Manual.
Administer company and region-specific employee benefit programs (medical, dental, life, supplemental offerings) including overseeing the enrollment/open enrollment process.
Administer and oversee all regional associate recognition programming, including the 110% Club Program.
Maintain associate employment files (personnel, I-9, investigatory, medical), including all required documentation, according to proscribed legal requirements and SecurAmerica protocols.
Maintain and update OSHA 300 Log.
Oversee unemployment claim management and attend claim hearings, as required.
Work closely with management and hourly associates to motivate the workforce and build a positive work environment at each account.
Review all SecurAmericas policies, procedures, handbooks and practices and recommend revisions/improvements as needed, especially on state-specific or local issues.
Consult with account managers and other SecurAmerica representatives on all performance management issues including disciplinary actions to ensure compliance with legal and company standards and that actions/policies are enforced in a fair and equitable manner; participate in all performance counseling sessions including terminations.
Conduct conflict resolution investigations and investigate disciplinary matters, complaints and other human resources-related issues, as needed.
Coordinate and/or conduct exit interviews.
Mentor/coach local managers / supervisors to improve human resources skills and knowledge.
Conduct training programs for officers and managers in the area of human resources compliance to include sexual harassment and EEOC.
Comply with all safety, security, compliance and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities.
Oversee and/or manage the regions uniform supply and distribution process.
Supervise administrative associates, as necessary.
Perform other related duties as required.

Position Qualifications
EXPERIENCE
One to Three years of experience in an administrative capacity preferably in the contract security or similar industry.

EDUCATION
Bachelors Degree in Human Resources (or related field) preferred

COMPETENCIES
Expertise in the areas of recruiting hourly talent, workers compensation, benefits administration, unemployment.
Knowledge of all employment-related compliance requirements, including federal and state employment law.
Excellent communications and interviewing skills
Ability to interact effectively at various social and organizational levels and across diverse cultures
Self-motivated; goal-oriented; strong work ethic
People person; instills confidence in customers and associates
Excellent knowledge in Work, Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge of the operation of a Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
Excellent presentation skills

Working Environment
Position holder generally works in an office environment
Will be required to visit regional clients with varied environments and hazards depending on the vertical markets served
