Job Skills / Requirements
Sunstates Security is hiring a part-time Console Operator for a high-visibility client in Cary. This is a part time position requiring flexibility to work weekends and weekdays. Must have prior military, law enforcement and/or security experience. Previous console operator experience is required Attention to detail and the ability to multitask are a must. Must be able to type up to 20 WPM.
Duties will include: management of alarm systems, emergency response, critical incident management, access control, and investigation support. Must be able to deliver timely, accurate information and reports as requested by managers and partners. Must be able to troubleshoot and support security technical teams to identify problems and facilitate repairs at facilities. Prior work or educational experience with various software applications including Google Docs or similar applications preferred. Must possess a minimum of one (1) year of successful work experience in a security command center setting, call center, or similar position. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Candidates must have the ability to adapt to changing expectations in a fast paced, fluid business environment and the ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively.
A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP, and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives. Sun123
