Job Skills / Requirements

Sunstates Security is currently hiring for two part-time flex Security Officers to join our team in the Charlotte, NC area. The post available are for the evening hours of 4:00PM - 11:00PM (2nd and 3rd shifts). The pay rate is $12 - $13/hour dependent on location. 

Ideal candidates are customer service driven, security minded individuals with the ability to work occasional weekends. Other requirements are listed below. 

Locations: South end Charlotte, University area, Northlake area, and Ballantyne area. 

Responsibilities:

• Conducting foot and/or vehicle patrols
• Conducting scan tours
• Responding to calls for service from tenants for access control purposes or parking lot escort

Requirements: 

• Prior security experience preferred
• Customer service skills
• 18 years of age
• High school diploma
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
• Valid driver;s license and a minimum of 3 years driving history for purposes of vehicle patrol responsibilities in the position 

***Note: If you are selected for hire and you do NOT possess an active PPSB Security Officer License you are REQUIRED to attend a 2-day (8 hour) PPSB training course prior to being assigned to your respective post & shift.***

A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders/SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives. Sun123
